Rambling Tommy Scott is a real legend in various ways. He ran the last oldtimey medicine show. He was a Hillbilly and Rockabilly artist, a songwriter and produced the first filmed TV shows in the world and can be found therefore in THE GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS.
Tommy invited me several times to visit him at his home in Toccoa in Georgia, but unfortunately I could not afford spending the time. He called his home "China Town" and it really looked like China. Tommy was a great funny guy. He once sent us a box of breakable 78 RPM records and they got here all broken in many pieces due to insufficient packing. We were sure that our dreams of an LP release were gone. We wrote Tommy about the disaster and soon he sent the same stuff once again. This time all records arrived in good shape.
Another funny story is the picture above Tommy mailed us. It seems he clipped off one of his band members who fell out of favor with him. The note that you see on top was in one of the boxes that Tommy shipped to us and was certainly not meant for us. One can only speculate what kind of a calculation this was.
