Dave Stogner was a great Western Swing fiddle player and
singer who had his first LP recorded in 1957 on the DECCA label. Two
LPs were released on CATTLE RECORDS in 1984 and 1985. Dave lived in
Corralitas, California. The picture was a newer one when he sent it
over. In 1989, we received a note from Viola Stogner from Madera,
California that her husband had died of cancer on May 17, 1989. Viola
continued promoting the two CATTLE releases and stayed in touch with us.
